Roxy and Andie fly from Heathrow to Trivandrum via Bahrain.
Then by taxi to Kovalam for some r&r by the beach

We could see this lighthouse from our hotel balcony.

This snake put in an appearance as we ate breakfast at our hotel.


On a late stroll along the beach we passed lots of these fishing boats.


After a long relaxing time in Kovalam we join a tour which takes
us around Kerala and its backwaters.
We took a bus from Kovalam to Alumkadavu where we
picked up a traditional houseboat which was our home for a
while as we sailed around the backwaters.


We shared our boat with an older English couple, Pat and Frank.
This was the lounge area.

This is the sister boat. They are made totally out of palm trees.

Actually, behind her is one of the many cantilever fishing nets
found along the banks.
