The Board of the Supporters Trust
notes that there is an ever increasing trend for football clubs
to re-arrange fixtures away from their traditional kick-off of
3:00 p.m. on a Saturday. This trend is in response to several
factors, including the demands of television, England fixtures
and Christmas shopping.
Altering the fixture time can cause serious inconvenience to supporters,
especially away supporters, who may need to make special arrangements
for time off work and/or travel during unsocial hours.
As a result, the Board of the Supporters Trust has written to
the Secretary of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club asking that the
Club be mindful of the impact of any proposed changes on supporters.

Dear Keith,
Re: Keep Saturday Sacred
Doubtless you are aware that the Football Supporters Federation is strongly in favour of the principle that football matches should continue with the traditional Saturday afternoon kick off time of 3.00 p.m. whenever possible.
The Board of the Supporters Trust wish the Club to know that they endorse this view.
We are aware that from time to time the principle of a 3:00 p.m. Saturday kick-off is challenged, for example, as a result of the requirements of television coverage of a particular match. We ask that the Club are mindful of the impact of any changes on supporters, who have planned their time and made travel arrangements anticipating that matches will take place on their originally publicised dates and at normal times. At a practical level, this requires that the Club resist requests to vary this principle whenever possible.
Yours sincerely,
Keith Blagbrough
Secretary
