Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust and
Wycombe Wanderers Founders Trust have been in dialogue with the
PLC Board via their PLC Directors over the lack of Fans Forums
in season 2006/07. The last Fans Forum was held on 10th July 2006
(see report below).
The PLC Board has agreed that there should be a minimum of two
Fans Forums in a season, scheduled for approximately early September
and April. The Trusts understand that the possibility of holding
a Fans Forum in May or June this year was discussed. However,
this has not been agreed because there is no suitable a date when
both the PLC Board and Football Management team are available.
A stated advantage of a Fans Forum in September rather than the
close season is that the Manager can discuss openly the pre-season
build up and any new players brought in rather than having to
be guarded in discussing his plans as he would need to be in the
close season.
This explanation is provided by the Trusts both to highlight that
the matter has been raised with the PLC and to publicise the response
received.
