Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust
announces support for Cambridge "Fans United Day"

Cambridge Fans United (CFU), the Cambridge United supporters' trust, have designated the match again Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 19th March 2005 as a "Fans United Day". Football fans from all over the country are being invited to attend the game in a bid to raise some funds for the cash strapped U's as well as to show solidarity with other financially troubled clubs.

Cambridge United is struggling on and off the pitch. The club currently sits 92nd in the Football League, facing relegation to the Nationwide Conference and the loss of vital grants from the Football League. On the financial front, the club is in dire straits, and CFU have set out to raise £500,000 to keep the troubled club alive over the next six months.

A fanzine, United in Endeavour, has been produced to help raise funds. As an act of solidarity, the board members of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust have purchased 500 of the £1.00 fanzines personally. They hope to recover this money by selling the fanzines on to supporters of Wycombe Wanderers.

A cheque for £500 will be presented to Cambridge Fans United on the pitch at half time on Saturday 19th March.

Fanzines will be on sale price £1.00 at the match from Trust members both within the ground and on the supporters' coaches. Copies can also be obtained by writing to the Trust at 1 Allen Drive, Walters Ash, High Wycombe, Bucks HP14 4SS price £1.50 to include postage and packaging.

The board of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust asks that Wycombe fans both help CFU indirectly by attending the match to cheer on Wycombe Wanderers and also back the board of WWST in making their gesture of solidarity by purchasing the fanzines from Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust.
