Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust has completed its purchase of 100,000 shares in Wycombe Wanderers Football Club PLC. This investment secures the Supporters Trust's representation on the board of directors of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club PLC.

The £50,000 required to pay the second instalment of the purchase of the 100,000 shares has been raised through a combination of membership fees, donations and fundraising events. The membership has risen to 265, including 91 Life Members. The Supporters Trust has an outstanding interest free loan of £35,000 from one of its members that partially funded the first £50,000 instalment but no further long-term loans were required to fund the second instalment.

Having completed the purchase of its shareholding, the Supporters Trust is seeking additional members in order to expand further the number of supporters that it represents. The Trust will continue with fund raising activities to repay the outstanding loan and thereby secure the shareholding outright. Membership is open to all supporters of Wycombe Wanderers over 16 years of age.

Commenting on the announcement, Francis Glenister, Chairman of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust, said: "I am very pleased that the Trust has been able to complete the purchase of its shareholding ahead of the deadline required by the PLC. The growth in membership is particularly pleasing and the contribution of the Life Members has been particularly significant. It is a fantastic achievement to have completely funded this purchase without the incurring further debt. On behalf of the Board of the Supporters Trust, I thank every member and everyone who has contributed to the fundraising activities. The Supporters Trust must develop further its role as an effective representative of supporter interests in the PLC boardroom and the community."
