Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust has appointed Keith Blagbrough as its interim Director on the Board of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club plc.

Mr. Blagbrough is an existing member of the Board of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust and a long-standing supporter of the Club, who has been actively involved in supporter organisations for many years.

This appointment follows the purchase of 100,000 shares in Wycombe Wanderers Football Club plc by the Supporters Trust. This investment enables the Supporters Trust to have a representative appointed to the board of directors of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club plc under the terms of the change of constitution of the Football Club in August 2004.

At a forthcoming AGM, members of the Supporters Trust will be invited to elect a board of directors to manage the Trust and also to appoint one of these directors to take up the role of director on the board of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club plc. Nominations for the board of directors of the Trust will be invited from the Trust membership as a whole. Mr. Blagbrough will serve pending these elections.

Commenting on the announcement, Francis Glenister, Chairman of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust, said "I am very pleased that Keith has agreed to serve as our representative. I have come to know Keith well during the time of our involvement with the Supporters Trust and I am confident that he will be an excellent director, who will work tirelessly to represent the views of our members whilst simultaneously looking out for the best long term interest of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club."

Mr. Blagbrough stated " I am very happy to accept this interim appointment as a Director of the Football Club. It is important that this post is filled immediately so that the voice of supporters is strengthened in the Boardroom. I am looking forward to making a positive contribution to the future success of Wycombe Wanderers."

Commenting on the earlier announcement of the purchase of shares by the Supporters Trust, Ivor Beeks, Chairman of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club plc said "We look forward to working with a member of the Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust as a Director of the plc Board. This is a significant step forward in the change of our constitution and the Supporters Trust is to be congratulated on raising the first half of the funds required. The Board welcome this development and fully support the initiative to encourage fans to contribute to the final stage required in twelve months time."
