The photograph shows a cheque for £5,000 payable to Cancer Research UK being presented to Steve Brown and Keirina Rowland by Francis Glenister, Chairman of the Supporters Trust, before the match against Cheltenham on Saturday May 13th 2006.

The Trusts have been asked to make public the following letter of thanks from Brownie, Murray and Keirina:

Dear Supporter,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has donated money towards the Team Wycombe Wanderers effort in this year's London Marathon.

The response from all of the supporters has been phenomenal. It really was encouraging for all of the team when running the race to know that we had such great backing from both supporters, family and friends.

It was a great day for all of us involved in the race. The atmosphere was electric, like nothing we've really experienced before. We spotted a few Wanderers fans along the way and when the going got tough, the crowd really picked us up.

As a team we have raised approximately £10,700, a fantastic effort by everyone who contributed! We and Cancer Research appreciate all of your support, remember you may have just helped to raise funds that go some way to help finding a cure 20 - 30 years down the line. It will be such a good feeling for us all to say we were a part of that.

Once again, thank you to you all.

Best Wishes,
Brownie, Murray and Keirina

Although the event has passed, all further donations received will be forwarded to Cancer Research UK.
